Our Breast Cancer bag, called “Vonnie,” is named after Bagolitas Founder Janice Baldes’ grandmother, Lavaan Stutzman. Grandma Vonnie twice battled – and won! – breast cancer and speaks highly of her experiences at Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Piper Breast Center, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Because Vonnie was instrumental in the start of Bagolitas, we are giving back to her through our Vonnie bag: 15% of the sale of each Vonnie bag goes directly to the Piper Breast Center. Our Breast Cancer Research donations total over $20,000 since 2006 when we began our Vonnie Bag program.
