Bags with heart...Fundraising
At the core of our beliefs is our desire to give back to local and national charities. Since 2005, Bagolitas is proud to have generated almost $100,000 in charitable donations to such worthwhile causes as Breast Cancer Research, Flood Relief Efforts, Tornado Reconstruction, and several Children's Causes, including over $20,000 to the Children's Miracle Network and University of Iowa Children’s Hospital combined. With the continued help and support of our customers and consultants, we are excited to continue these important programs. Our Breast Cancer program, through sales of the Vonnie bag, continues along with Marla, our bag benefiting Autism Research, and our MS bag, supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. We believe these programs demonstrate our commitment to providing support for wonderful organizations. By purchasing one of our fundraising bags, you'll be supporting our charity efforts and doing something you love to do - Shop!

- When you see products marked with this heart symbol, you know that with your order, we'll send 15% of the purchase price to the organization designated.
MS Bag
- Added to our collection of Fundraising bags in 2009, 15% of the purchase of each MS bag goes to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic neurological disorder affecting the central nervous system. About 500,000 people have been diagnosed with MS and more women than men are commonly diagnosed. The severity of the disease varies from person to person and is detected in individuals between the ages of 20 and 50. While there is no cure for MS there are treatments that help to manage the symptoms and delay the affects of this disease. For more information visit: www.nationalmssociety.org
Vonnie- Near and dear to our hearts and adorned with a sterling silver breast cancer awareness ribbon charm, this bag is in honor and celebration of women everywhere who have been touched by this disease. Vonnie, named after Janice's grandmother who twice battled breast cancer (and won!), is the original Bagolitas Fundraising bag. With 15% from each bag sold going toward breast cancer awareness, Bagolitas has been able to donate over $10,000 to the Piper Breast Center since 2005.
Porter- Porter, our bag funding research for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious heart condition, was named after the son of Elisha and Adam Froetschner born in 2008. Without treatment, babies with HLHS do not survive, and those that do only live until their 20s. Today, Porter is a normal, happy little boy who brings joy, hope and strength to people that he meets and is a role model to families that are preparing for the birth of their child who has HLHS. 15% of each Porter bag purchased goes to the University of Michigan, where Porter was born and treated, in the hopes that one day there will be a cure for this grave heart defect.
Marla- Bagolitas is committed to making a difference in the lives of people we touch. That's why we've named our bag supporting autism research MARLA, after the daughter of one of our Consultants, Rachel. This spunky little girl and her family are examples that autism is part of so many lives - your purchase will help make autism something fewer families have to think about. Almost $3,500 has been donated to the National Autism Association through sales of our Marla bags.
