Local Company Reaches $4 Million in Sales!

North Liberty, IA, March 5, 2009 – As the at home party industry continues to flourish, Bagolitas has reached a major milestone of $4 million in cumulative sales over just four short years. Bagolitas by Janice - the spunky fringe fabric handbags and accessories boutique is pleased to announce the expansion of their product line with the launch of their Signature Collection of faux leathers and suedes, plus an infusion of new fabric combinations for the summer. Bagolitas is proud to announce that all of their handbags and Boutique products are manufactured in the United States and they continue to provide career opportunities to women everywhere.
Bagolitas has been helping women redefine themselves through career opportunities or the handbags that they carry since 2005. After reaching over $1.6 million in sales in 2008, Bagolitas achieved about 12% growth from the previous year, Founder Janice Baldes says, “Given the economic climate, we’re pleased.” Bagolitas plans to reach $2.35 million in 2009 primarily through at-home parties and the efforts of their expanding exceptional sales team.
Bagolitas also strives to give back through fundraising efforts. Their passion is supporting children’s charities, which is increasing with the introduction of the “Marla” bag this season to support Autism research. Bagolitas is most proud to report that their charitable efforts to date has provided over $60,000 in support for many wonderful causes, including $9,500 to Iowa Flood Relief and over $11,000 to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon. With the growth of the sales organization, that number will continue to grow.
